Carlsbad Dental Beach Dental Gives Back

Over the past couple of months, COVID-19 has really created a lot of uncertainty in our lives. With updates constantly coming from our local health officials, it’s hard to know when things will actually get back to normal. That’s why, during such unprecedented times, the strength of our community has become more important now than ever previously. As a dental practice, we understand how much those on the front lines are sacrificing in order to help those in serious need due to COVID-19.

That’s why Carlsbad Beach Dental is honored to be doing our part during these difficult circumstances. We have decided to donate medical supplies to the Tri-City Medical Center in order to support our local health care workers. We recognize their heroic efforts as they constantly work to keep the community safe and healthy, and only now are they beginning to get a fraction of the recognition they deserve for being on the front lines of the pandemic. We are so thankful for our local health care workers and first responders and we felt that donating personal protective equipment was one way we could truly make a difference.

Best At-Home Oral Care Tips During Quarantine

It’s become clear that coming to our office is not exactly feasible at this time (with the exception of handling dental emergencies.) For that reason, it’s crucial to maintain consistent oral care habits at home. Take a look at our brief tips below; once you can get your next dental checkup scheduled, your care will pick up right where it was left off!

  • Brush twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste.
  • Brush after meals and snacks, making sure to do so for at least two minutes.
  • Floss once a day.
  • Incorporate an oral rinse into your routine.
  • Make sure to brush along the gum line and all surfaces of teeth.
  • Brush your tongue to remove lingering bacteria.

We look forward to seeing our patients again very soon. Until then, make sure to follow all pandemic guidelines to keep you and your family safe!
