Have you been thinking about having your teeth whitened? Many people want a brighter smile, but there are so many options available that choosing the right one can be difficult. Of course, you could opt for over-the-counter whitening systems, but in reality, they do not work all that well. At most, you can expect your teeth to whiten by a shade or two, and the results will not likely last very long. Instead, you can turn to Carlsbad Beach Dental. Our teeth whitening systems are vastly superior to drugstore methods, improving your smile’s brightness by up to ten shades!
At Carlsbad Beach Dental, we offer KöR whitening treatments because the results are very long-lasting, and the cost is comparable to other whitening systems that may not work as well. Some other one-hour whitening treatments work by dehydrating your teeth while treating them with a bleaching agent. The problem with this type of system is that once your teeth rehydrate, the discoloration re-appears—not fully, you will still see a lot of improvement, but not to the extent that you enjoyed immediately post-treatment. That’s why we use KöR whitening.
KöR is better than one-hour bleaching treatments because it is perfect for sensitive teeth and lasts longer than other treatments. You wear your KöR whitening trays while you sleep, so you get many hours of whitening instead of just one. KöR trays are made using impressions of your mouth, so they fit perfectly and will not leak. After your initial treatment period, you can continue to use KöR whitening once a month for permanent whitening.
There are three different KöR systems that you can use, depending on how badly stained your teeth are. KöR Home is ideal for most people and is the least costly option. At the mid-range, we also offer KöR Max, which consists of take-home trays plus one in-office treatment. This procedure will work on even very stubborn stains. KöR Ultra-T is the most expensive of the KöR treatments and consists of trays that you take home, along with two in-office treatments. This system works best for people who have very resistant staining due to antibiotic use.
